Dr. James Newby is an experienced Family Medicine provider, Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Newby and his staff work hard to offer state of the art care, in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. In today's modern world people have many choices when it comes to healthcare, and the way that healthcare is delivered is undergoing rapid change. Some of those changes are good. Some of the changes that are occurring detract from quality care of care patients are receiving. Dr. Newby will take time to get to know you and discuss your health issues and treatment options in detail. Living in the technology and information age as we do, people are often well informed and already have an idea about how they want to approach their own healthcare issues. We believe that together we can come up with the best plan of action to meet your healthcare needs. We always have same day or next day appointments available for acute or sick visits so you can get in with your doctor when you really need him. To serve our patients in an optimal fashion, there is a balance that must be achieved. Providing quality care requires time. That's why you will be one of 20 patients a day scheduled, not 30-35 as it is with many of today's overburdened practices. Dr. Newby has been practicing as a Family Medicine Physician in Chattanooga for 10 years. He has strong ties to the East Brainerd, Harrison and Ooltewah communities, as well as the University of Tennessee as a former graduate and currently as a Clinical Instructor for the UT College of Medicine here in Chattanooga, teaching UT Memphis medical students and UT Family Practice residents.
